Moodboards and directions for art directors

Lock the look before the deck goes out.

Generate stills, motion and music references across sixteen models, pin the right ones, and lock one palette, type pairing and tone your client can approve on a link.

No card to start. Every product, every seat, for 14 days.

What it does

Three things it does, shown on screen.

The locked direction

There is one answer to "what's the current direction?", not three decks with three opinions.

From the pinned references, drafts a concept, a type pairing and a do and don't list, with a palette extracted from those images; a person assigns each swatch its role and locks one version.

Pinning

The board never fills with generations nobody wanted; what survives is what the team chose.

Every generation starts unpinned and expires after 30 days unless someone pins it. What is pinned feeds the palette and the concept.

Client choice on a link

The choice and the reasons are recorded on the directions, not lost in a thread.

Share two to four locked directions side by side on a client link, no account needed. The client rates each, leaves a note or says "Not this one", and picks one.

Also included

  • One recommendation per job. Each request is matched to the model that fits the job (a quick sketch, a finished still, a short clip, an instrumental track), with its cost in credits and its commercial-use status shown before you generate.
  • Instrumental audio moods. Generate a thirty-second ambient clip from a prompt; every request asks for instrumental only, with no vocals, lyrics or spoken word.
  • Rights-aware export. Export the direction as a PDF whose manifest lists every asset's model, vendor and commercial-use status; anything not cleared needs an explicit acknowledgement first.
  • Edit and extend images. Paint over an area and say what goes there, or extend an image past its edges; the result lands beside the original.
  • A canvas for the board. Notes, text, link cards, swatches and sections on one canvas, linked to a client, a project and people.
  • Presentation mode. Present a direction in presentation mode, with a progress rail showing where the board stands.
  • Usage in credits. See credit usage by client, board and person.
What Mood* replaces

A board in a tool that only collects.

The usual workaround is a reference board in a general tool: a Pinterest board, a slide deck, a Figma file, all good at collecting images. None extracts a palette from what is pinned, drafts a type pairing and tone from it, versions the result and hands it to the next brief.

Before

A reference board collects images

A palette gets typed into a deck from memory

The board is a dead end once the deck is sent

A different AI tool for a sketch, a still, a clip and a track

A locked direction turns what is pinned into a palette, a type pairing and a tone, in one versioned record

Every swatch comes from a real pinned image

A locked direction grounds the next brief and the client's record

One board that picks the model for each job

Before you start

The AI, your data and the price, plainly.

  • What the AI doesWhich model fits a generation request, unless a person switches it
  • What it never doesA swatch's color: every swatch comes from a pinned image, never a value the model invents
  • Where your data goesA generation prompt and any image you attach go to the vendor of the model chosen for that job; pinned references and brief text go to Anthropic's commercial API when a direction is drafted. Training and retention follow each vendor's API terms, not a setting in this product.

Models. Image, video and instrumental-audio models from vendors including OpenAI, Google, ByteDance, xAI, Kuaishou and Ideogram, matched to each job by a fixed rule, not a model; Claude Sonnet 5.5 for describing pinned references and writing a direction's concept and do and don't list. Questions

Common questions

For art directors and design leads, is creative direction. A team generates and pins stills, motion and music references, locks one direction with its palette, type and tone, and replaces a shared drive of boards, decks and PDFs.
